Mineral samples in reflected light
Chris produced an extensive array of mineral samples for viewing by reflected light (both white and U/V) and associated methods of illumination (
view here) (for some background information on the reaction of certain minerals to U/V light, click here). Methods included a U/V 'light box' for the viewing of large fluorescent samples (
view here). A large number of micromount type crystalline minerals for viewing were available (for some examples,
